Features

With this body fat scale, you will have full control of your body weight by receiving accurate readings of your body fat, bone mass, and muscle mass. All the information are recorded as the unit allows up to 10 users to enjoy the unit without the risk of mixing the results. The biggest disadvantage of this body fat analyzer is that it uses Bluetooth instead of a WiFi connection so the information is being transmitted to your phone via Bluetooth. This is why the unit can’t predict the weather nor it can detect the room temperature.

Specifications

This device is larger than the regular body scales, thus offering you a wider contact surface for a more comfortable weighing. It measures 13” x 13” and stands 2” above the ground and is made of a sturdy plastic with a sleek glass top that makes it weigh around 5.8 lb. You must not worry about the durability of the scale as it can hold people weighing up to 400lbs. The large 4.3” backlit display ensures convenient reading with very large numbers.
This body scale measures 8 parameters for the ultimate weight control and the most productive fitness routine. You will receive information on your body fat, visceral fat, body weight, the body water level, your muscles mass, bone mass, BMI, and BMR which is the basal metabolic rate or the amounts of calories you retain.
The high precision sensors located on the high-sensitivity surface of the scale measure in increments of 1.2 lb for the most accurate results. As soon as you step up on the scale in your bare feet, the sensors start measuring and calculating so you will receive a complete reading on your device.
Four AA alkaline batteries power the scale and the first set comes in the package so your scale will be ready to use as soon as you detach the plastic tab. The auto shut down feature increases the lifespan of the batteries as it turns off the scale after a long time of standby.

Ease of use

In order to be able to use this scale, you must own an iPhone 4S or later, an iPad 3 or iPad Mini, or a device that uses an Android 2.3 or later. iPhone 4 or lower and iPad 1 and 2 are not compatible with this scale. Once you purchase the device, you will have to visit the App Store or Google Pay Store, search the EasyHomeScale app and download it to your device. Every time you use the scale, the Bluetooth on your phone must be turned on. You will then have to set up the app with your information so you will create a profile that will receive and store the data. After you step on the scale, it will only take a few seconds for it to send the data to your phone or tablet.
Many customers have complained about the readings that don’t appear on the scale’s display but only on the phone’s screen, except for the weight. This keeps them from using the scale unless they have the phone or tablet within reach, but it’s not a huge concern.

Warranty and support

The product comes with a 1-year warranty that covers every repair or replacement of the product in case the malfunction is not caused by improper handling. The device has shown excellent results in long-term use and for every question you have while using it, there is the manufacturer’s website where you can find all the answers you need. You can always contact them or read the owner’s manual that is very easy to use.

Final thoughts

When it comes to body fat scales, the more features a unit has, the more efficient and useful it is. The advanced technologies enable it to deliver more accurate readings and this analyzer surely doesn’t lack advancements. The multiple body parameters it can determine make it one of the most versatile products on the market, thus turning it into a complex device that will help you get a clear view of your body composition. Plus, it can be connected to a smartphone using a Bluetooth connection so you can memorize your body weight, bone mass, or BMI. The integrated app makes it very easy to use and incredibly practical. Since this type of devices is very popular these days, I am wondering if this model is one of the most accurate ones. Is it worth investing in it, from this point of view?

    • Clara Fleming says:

This device is definitely worth every penny. There are some high precision sensors located on the high-sensitivity surface of the device, which measure in increments of 1.2 lb so that you can receive the most accurate results.

  2. George says:

Does the EasyHomeScale App support myFitnessPal?

    • Clara Fleming says:

This is a good question. The EasyHomeScale App does not support myFitnessPal directly. However, in case you use iPhone, your myFitnessPal on iPhone can actually read the data from Easy@Home scale. It can do this indirectly via iOS 8 HealthKit App.

  3. Clark says:

Can this device sync up the date online or export data?

    • Clara Fleming says:

You definitely can export the data collected by this device, from “iWellness” App or “EasyHomeScale” App. In order to do that in the current version of App, you can easily tap any data on the main page and then enter into the Graph or List page. The link for exporting data is at the upper right corner of this page. You just need to select the data and choose the way for sharing: Twitter, Facebook, e-mail, SMS, etc.

  4. Mike says:

From what I’ve heard the scale needs to be recalibrated after you change its battery. Can you please tell me how exactly to do this?

    • Jake Green says:

Hi, Mike. You are right, the scale needs recalibration after changing the battery, as well as after moving its location, or before the first use. In order to recalibrate the scale, you have to step on the scale for several seconds and then go off and wait until the display turns off. You may have to repeat the procedure for a couple of times.

  5. Jane says:

How long do the batteries last?

    • Jake Green says:

Hi, Jane. According to the manufacturer’s specifications, the batteries may last for months, depending on how often you use the scale.

  6. Nathalie says:

How many sensors does the unit have? Thanks.

    • Jake Green says:

Hello, Nathalie. The model has 4 sensors which are placed in the feet of the unit and 2 BIA panels located on both sides. For this reason, you have to use the device on a flat even surface and to make sure your feet are in the right position.
